The regular session of the National Assembly has started. Independent deputy Arman Babajanyan inquired from the Parliament Speaker about the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the steps taken by the authorities.

Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan stated that the parliamentary diplomacy, both in this difficult issue and in other issues, operates to the full extent of its capabilities, even beyond them.

“Our delegations are very active in this issue. Every effort is being made to draw the attention of the international community to this issue and to find solutions. They are expressed in the form of statements or resolutions.

The issue was also discussed during my meeting with my Russian counterpart Vyacheslav Volodin. Armenia has international agreements - bilateral, multilateral and I do not think that our allies will not fulfill their obligations. Our dialogue with the CSTO and Russia continues. I think we should be optimistic.

Discussions continue with all allied countries, the international community and Armenia must do everything possible to resolve this situation and to restore the territorial integrity of Armenia. Such difficult issues are not always solved at lightning speed, sometimes long-term work is more effective,” Mirzoyan said.
