Spokesperson of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov says Russian soldiers are verifying the information about Azerbaijan’s strikes in the direction of Armenia’s territory, RIA Novosti reports.

Today the Ministry of Defense of Armenia declared that Azerbaijan had targeted the military equipment located in Armenia’s territory.

“The Russian Ministry of Defense is verifying the information and is in constant touch with the Ministry of Defense of Armenia. Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoygu has held phone talks with the counterparts of the conflicting sides, and the information is being verified and analyzed,” Peskov said in response to a reporter’s question.

In response to a specifying question whether this implies the launch of any mechanism of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, if the information is confirmed, the Kremlin’s representative recommended waiting for the results.
