Pashinyan: Right of people of Nagorno-Karabakh to self-determination is 'red line' for Armenia․ VIDEO

In an interview with RIA Novosti, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be resolved on the basis of mutual concessions, adding that the resolution must be ultimate and favorable for all the sides.

“The issue is not a matter of personal venturism. In the aftermath, I would like to see an ultimate resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict based on mutual concessions, and I would like for us to make a decision that will be acceptable for all the sides, including Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan,” Pashinyan said.

According to him, for Armenia, the 'red line' is the right of Nagorno-Karabakh to self-determination which Yerevan can’t renounce. “There is such a line, and it is the right of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh to self-determination. Armenia has always been ready for such mutual concessions, but Azerbaijan has refused to sign the agreements since it didn’t want and doesn’t want to recognize the right of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh to self-determination,” he added.
