The RA Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan said during a briefing after the meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov that the meeting was held in an atmosphere of constructive, high mutual trust and was very meaningful.

 

"We appreciate Russia's mediation efforts in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. Our position is based on multilateral cooperation, in the direction of which we have a multi-vector dialogue. We attach special importance to the dynamics of high-level visits. Russia is Armenia's main economic partner", Mnatsakanyan said.

 

Touching upon the Artsakh conflict, Mnatsakanyan noted that it has become a threat to the security of the region.

 

"Our compatriots in Artsakh face an existential threat. Azerbaijan's military-political leadership is carrying out aggression against the people of Artsakh, insisting on a military solution to the conflict and the physical elimination of the people", he said, adding: 

 

"Only in case of a complete ceasefire will we be able to move in all directions".
