The Government of the Republic of Armenia has approved the legislative initiative of the Government regarding the bill on ratifying the International Convention against the Recruitment, Use, Financing and Training of Mercenaries, as reported on the official website of the Government.

The decision reads as follows:

“Apply to the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia to determine the compliance of the obligations stipulated in the international treaty with the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia.

In case of a decision of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia on declaring the obligations stipulated in the international treaty as complying with the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, submit the legislative initiative of the Government of the Republic of Armenia to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia as prescribed.

To appoint Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Kristinne Grigoryan the Representative of the Government of the Republic of Armenia before the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia.
