November 1 is the day of the installation of the monument "We are our mountains", the symbol of Artsakh. It symbolizes the strong connection between the land of Artsakh and the roots of the people. The monument "We are our mountains", affectionately called "Dedo-Babo", "Grandma-Grandpa", was installed in 1967. The sculptor of the monument is Sargis Baghdasaryan, the architect is Yuri Hakobyan. At the entrance to Stepanakert, the sculpture on the top of the hill is made of red tuff.
