Defense Army: Artsakh people will hold Azerbaijan leadership accountable for war crimes

The large-scale war unleashed by the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan in the early morning of September 27 continues to this day, accompanied by widespread violations by the Azerbaijani side of numerous norms and principles of international humanitarian law, international human rights law, and customary international law. The Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Defense Army noted this in a statement, which also reads as follows:

"At the same time, in order to cover up or justify its war crimes, as well as to prepare grounds for carrying out new attacks on the civilian population [of Artsakh], the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan is resorting to propaganda of disinformation, accusing not only the military-political leadership of Artsakh, but also the authorities of Armenia in imaginary actions.

The people of Artsakh are determined to defend the security of their homeland and their people with all their potential, as well as to hold the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan accountable for the war crimes committed and the policy of turning our region into a hotbed of international terrorism."
