The Armenian side highly appreciates the international community’s overall assessment of Azerbaijan’s and Turkey’s aggression with the involvement of foreign terrorist mercenaries. This is what Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan declared during a joint press conference with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Nikos Dendias, who is on a working visit to Yerevan.

“It is impossible to conceal the reality. This is an aggression against the people of Artsakh. The target is the civilian population. Azerbaijan made an attempt for a military solution. The most important thing here is that the people of Artsakh are defending their existence. Being the sole guarantor of the security of Artsakh, Armenia has protected and will protect Artsakh with all of its resources,” the minister said, adding that Turkey’s actions and the involvement of mercenaries let Baku believe that it is able to not listen to the international community.

Mnatsakanyan emphasized that the Armenian side is inclined towards implementation of the agreement reached in Moscow and believes the issue can’t be solved by force. He added that the primary issue is the exercise of the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination and that the people have fought and achieved the right to live on their land freely and in a dignified manner.
